Joomla's Media Manger and adding Images to your Front Page Slide Show

The home page slide show is operated with a script called Simple Picture Slide Show and calls to a folder in your Media Manager

More about this extension is available on line at: http://www.bretteleben.de/lang-en/joomla/simple-picture-slideshow.html

This wonderful extension takes a folder full of images and plays them one at a time.

Finding the Script inside your Article

Look inside the homepage article where the slide show exists: you will find this code  {*besps}frontpagesldeshow{/besps*} (without the *) this snippet of code is calling for the folder: frontpageslideshow which lives inside Joomla's Media Manager.

You may upload more pictures into that folder though the media manager , but you must keep the images exactly the same size and dpi.

How to edit your slide show:

Go to

Site >>

Media Manager >>

Stories >>

frontpageslideshow directory

upload or delete images into the frontpageslideshow directory.

Again: only upload new images that are exactly the same size and dpi as the other slides in the folder: for example HomeVet's slide show images are all :  596 pixels wide by 294 pixels tall, with 72 dpi.
