Editing the Title tag for enhanced SEO.

One of the most important tags inside your html documents is the Title tag (<title>). This is the first and most important information search engines use as they spider through your data. The title tag wraps around this essential information and alerts the search engine to its importance.
Joomla allows you to optimize your title tags to become the most descriptive and thus more Search Engine Friendly.
Notice when you click menu item, in this example (See image A.) menu item is: Contact, the title appears in the browser's tab as "Contact Dr.Jeff at HomeVet".
The menu words themselves "Contact" are list tags (<li> tags) and not as important as the title ( <title>tag ) in the document. It is optimal to keep your list tags short and your title tags meaningful as possible and from 10-72 charaters long. Descriptive Title tags are also user friendly: creating meaningful bookmarks to be easier identified so a client is sure to return to the site.
Joomla makes customizing your title tag is easy:
Log into the front end (you can also do this in the backend):
Click the edit icon in front of the article.
Type what ever you want to show up in the <title> tag in the Title input box (See image B.)
In this case I might think about changing the current title: New Client Welcome: Introduction to My Practice for New Clients
into
"HomeVet New Client Information" to be more descriptive and shorter in length so it fits neatly the browser tab/bookmark menu.

Notice you can change title without changing the headline <h1> in the article below. The <h1> is the second most important tag in the site and can be more descriptive and longer if you want it to be.
