Styling Google's Blogger

I am working on a project to customize a client's Google Blogger site.  Here are some tips:

How to Add a Page in Blogger:

In Blogger Dashboard click "Posting" tab
Select  "Edit Pages"

Click blue button "New Page"
type in the your Page Title 
and type in what you want the page to say. (you can always do this later of course)
Click "Save Now"

You can create up to ten pages.

Have your Pages linked up to a horizontal menu bar:

Go to the "Design" tab
and Click "add a gadget" in the side bar
Choose: Pages

Drag the "Pages"gadget you just created to underneath the header. 

Images as design elements and optimal sizes in Blogger:

If you want to use your own background image, you will need to save it to 300px or less. If you image is larger, it will not show up at all.

Width of of header is determined by the Blogger Template Designer. To find out what your blog width is:

Go to:

Layout >> Adjust width

and copy down the pixel width of the entire blog sThis will determine how wide you image for the head will be. So for example, if the entire blog width is 860px the width of your header must be 860px. If it is larger the right hand side will cut off.
